Dr. Nils Pelzer, B.A.

Lawyer

Born in 1986; studied law and East Asian Studies at the University of Heidelberg; from 2012 to 2016, research assistant at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law, under Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Burkhard Hess; doctoral work in comparative legal analysis at the University of Heidelberg. Dr. Pelzer has been licensed as an attorney since 2018.
Dr. Pelzer counsels German and international clients in the conducting of complex litigation, in corporate and commercial law, in M&A transactions, and in contract law. He works in a leading capacity at the firm’s China Desk and provides advice and support for Chinese companies investing in Germany.
Dr. Pelzer is a lecturer on Chinese law at the University of Trier and is a member of the German-Chinese Bar Association, as well as the European China Law Studies Association. He is the author of a series of publications on German and Chinese law.

Prof. Dr. Roderich C. Thümmel, LL.M. (Harvard)

born in 1955; le­gal ed­u­ca­tion at the Uni­ver­si­ties of Tübin­gen and Mu­nich and at Har­vard Law School (LL.M. ’84); ad­mit­ted to the Ger­man Bar in 1984, to the New York Bar in 1986. Hon­orary pro­fes­sor of law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Tübin­gen (in­ter­na­tion­al busi­ness law and ar­bi­tra­tion). Man­ag­ing part­ner of the law firm Thümmel, Schütze & Part­ner. Hon­orary con­sul of the Re­pub­lic of Ice­land.

Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel is a mem­ber of sev­er­al su­per­vi­so­ry boards and ad­vi­so­ry boards in fam­i­ly-owned busi­ness­es, part­ly act­ing as chair­man of the re­spec­tive su­per­vi­so­ry bod­ies. He is a mem­ber of the In­ter­na­tion­al Bar As­so­ci­a­tion, of the Ger­man-Amer­i­can Lawyers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, of the Deutsch­er Ju­ris­tentag (Ger­man Le­gal Col­lo­qui­um), of the Stifter­ver­band für die Deutsche Wis­senschaft (As­so­ci­a­tion for the Pro­mo­tion of Ger­man Sci­ence and Hu­man­i­ties), fur­ther of the Ger­man In­sti­tu­tion for Ar­bi­tra­tion and oth­er ar­bi­tra­tion in­sti­tu­tions. He pub­lished nu­mer­ous books and ar­ti­cles on cor­po­rate law, on cor­po­rate gov­er­nance, on D&O li­a­bil­i­ty, on in­ter­na­tion­al con­tract and pro­ce­du­ral law as well as on ar­bi­tra­tion law. On a reg­u­lar ba­sis he gives lec­tures and holds sem­i­nars on the afore­men­tioned sub­jects fo­cus­ing es­pe­cial­ly on the rights and the du­ties of board mem­bers. Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel is the co-ed­i­tor of the jour­nal “Der Auf­sicht­srat” (“The Su­per­vi­so­ry Board”).

Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel is spe­cial­ized on ad­vis­ing com­pa­nies – es­pe­cial­ly fam­i­ly-owned busi­ness­es – and the man­age­ment of com­pa­nies with re­gard to cor­po­rate law is­sues and the struc­tur­ing and ne­go­ti­a­tion of trans­ac­tions. Fur­ther­more, Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel rep­re­sents com­pa­nies in com­plex dis­putes be­fore na­tion­al courts and in­ter­na­tion­al ar­bi­tra­tion pan­els. He is reg­u­lar­ly sit­ting as an ar­bi­tra­tor in in­ter­na­tion­al ar­bi­tra­tions. A fur­ther fo­cus area is the rep­re­sen­ta­tion of di­rec­tors and of­fi­cers in D&O li­a­bil­i­ty mat­ters as well as the ad­vis­ing of D&O in­sur­ers as mon­i­tor­ing or cov­er­age coun­sel.

Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel has been elect­ed by the jour­nal “Wirtschaftswoche” (“Busi­ness Week”) (29/2010) as one of the 25 best Ger­man lawyers spe­cial­iz­ing in cor­po­rate law. Ad­di­tion­al­ly, the jour­nal “Han­dels­blatt” (“Jour­nal for Com­merce and Econ­o­my”) has ranked Pro­fes­sor Dr. Thümmel as one of the top lawyers in cor­po­rate law and ar­bi­tra­tion.

Dr. Harro Wilde

Lawyer and Notary a.D.

born in 1950; le­gal stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ties of Tübin­gen and Bonn, as­sis­tant lec­tur­er at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Tübin­gen (Prof. Dr. Rothoeft). Ad­mit­ted to the Ger­man Bar in 1977, ap­point­ment as no­tary pub­lic in 2000. Pub­li­ca­tions in the ar­eas of com­pe­ti­tion law, con­flict of laws and re­al es­tate law. Mem­ber of the As­so­ci­a­tion for In­dus­tri­al Prop­er­ty Rights and Copy­right.

Dr. Har­ro Wilde is li­censed to prac­tice as an at­tor­ney-at-law (Recht­san­walt). In his prac­tice as an at­tor­ney, Dr. Wilde ad­vis­es both do­mes­tic and for­eign clients with re­gard to all ques­tions of IP rights and copy­right. He is reg­u­lar­ly in­volved with reg­is­trat­ing and de­fend­ing trade marks on a na­tion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al lev­el as well as with in­ter­net law is­sues. Fur­ther­more, Dr. Har­ro Wilde fo­cus­es on ad­vis­ing cor­po­rate clients in com­plex merg­er con­trol and an­titrust mat­ters. He has ac­quired ex­cel­lent ex­per­tise in the le­gal as­sess­ment, prepa­ra­tion and fil­ing of M & A trans­ac­tions with na­tion­al and Eu­ro­pean car­tel au­thor­i­ties, as well as in struc­tur­ing ver­ti­cal dis­tri­bu­tion agree­ments and oth­er mea­sures with a po­ten­tial im­pact on com­pe­ti­tion law.

Dr. Gerhard Bollmann

Lawyer and Notary

born in 1957; Dr. Ger­hard Boll­mann stud­ied law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Göttin­gen; as­sis­tance pro­fes­sor at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ham­burg (chair of Prof. Dr. Ze­uner); Recht­san­walt since 1987; No­tar since 2002.

Prop­er­ty trans­ac­tions and Cor­po­rate Law have been the tra­di­tion­al prac­tice/ com­pe­tence ar­eas of Dr. Boll­mann for more than twen­ty years. Be­side his lit­i­ga­tion prac­tice in the afore­men­tioned ar­eas, he is now con­cen­trat­ing on his work as a no­tary pub­lic.

Dr. Boll­mann han­dles all as­pects of Prop­er­ty trans­ac­tions in­clud­ing draft­ing, no­ta­riza­tion and re­al­iza­tion of pur­chase con­tracts for prop­er­ty cor­po­ra­tions and banks as well as for pri­vate per­sons. Par­ti­tion of prop­er­ty in ac­cor­dance with the Con­do­mini­um Act (Woh­nung­seigentümerge­setz) is part of his dai­ly work, as well as ad­vice on fi­nanc­ing and col­lat­er­al­i­sa­tion pro­ce­dures.

Dr. Boll­mann no­ta­rizes foun­da­tions of com­pa­nies and share­hold­ers’ meet­ings and ad­vis­es clients on cor­po­rate re­or­gan­i­sa­tion such as re­struc­tur­ing and merg­er. His ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence is a guar­an­tee for the bal­ance nec­es­sary in the no­ta­riza­tion of these trans­ac­tions.

Dr. Thomas R. Klötzel

Lawyer

born in 1957; Dr. Thomas R. Klötzel stud­ied law at the Uni­ver­si­ties of Tübin­gen and Gene­va; ad­mis­sion to the Ger­man Bar in 1986. From 1987 to 1988 Dr. Klötzel was the head of the firm’s Sin­ga­pore of­fice. He is a lec­tur­er in For­eign Law at the ESB Eu­ro­pean School of Busi­ness of Reut­lin­gen Uni­ver­si­ty. In ad­di­tion, he is a mem­ber of the In­ter­na­tion­al Bar As­so­ci­a­tion, the Ger­man In­sti­tu­tion of Ar­bi­tra­tion and a board mem­ber of both, the Ger­man-British Ju­rists’ As­so­ci­a­tion and the Ger­man-Sin­ga­pore Lawyers’ As­so­ci­a­tion.

Dr. Klötzel’s prac­tice fo­cus­es on in­ter­na­tion­al civ­il pro­ce­dure law and com­mer­cial ar­bi­tra­tion, where he acts both as ar­bi­tra­tor and coun­sel. Dr. Dirk Plagemann

born in 1953; le­gal stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ties of Bonn and Freiburg i.​Br.; Dr. Plage­mann was sec­tion head at the Max Planck In­sti­tute for For­eign and In­ter­na­tion­al Crim­i­nal Law, Freiburg i.​Br. He was ad­mit­ted to the Ger­man Bar in 1983 and prac­ticed first in Stuttgart. Since 1990 Dr. Plage­mann prac­tices in Dres­den. The fo­cus of Dr. Plage­mann´s le­gal prac­tice is ad­vis­ing com­pa­nies on re­gion­al, na­tion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al mat­ters, rang­ing in scope of ad­vice from the in­cor­po­ra­tion to suc­ces­sion and ques­tions of re­struc­tur­ing. Among his main clients are re­al es­tate com­pa­nies, both for­eign and Ger­man com­pa­nies do­ing busi­ness abroad, with a spe­cial re­gion­al fo­cus on North Amer­i­ca.

Severin Birkmann

Lawyer

born in 1962; Sev­erin Birk­mann com­plet­ed his le­gal ed­u­ca­tion at the Uni­ver­si­ties of Würzburg and Spey­er. He qual­i­fied as a Ger­man lawyer in 1991, the year when he joined the firm. Sev­erin Birk­mann has been a part­ner of our firm since 1997. He has played a sig­nif­i­cant part in es­tab­lish­ing our firm’s re­al es­tate prac­tice. He is a mem­ber of the Work­ing Group “Con­struc­tion Law” of the Ger­man Lawyers´ As­so­ci­a­tion, of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Bau­recht and of the Fo­rum Pub­lic Ten­ders.

Jens Haubold

Olaf Sachner

born in 1961; Olaf Sach­n­er stud­ied law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mar­burg; he was ad­mit­ted to the Ger­man Bar in 1997. Mr. Sach­n­er is a Cer­ti­fied Lawyer for Bank and Cap­i­tal Mar­ket Law and mem­ber of the bank­ing law as­so­ci­a­tion “Aca­dem­ic So­ci­ety for Bank­ing Law e.V.”

Be­fore join­ing Thümmel, Schütze & Part­ner in 2005 Mr. Sach­n­er worked as an in-house coun­sel for a ma­jor Ger­man bank­ing group in Frank­furt/Main and Berlin for more than 12 years.

Dr. Anastasia Burkhardt

Lawyer

Born in 1977, studies at the universities Göttingen and Paris II, research assistant at the Chair for Civil Law, Commercial and Buiness Law of Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), doctorate in the area of the law of the limited liability company, admitted to the bar since 2008, member of the German-Russian Jurists Association (Deutsch-Russische Juristenvereinigung e.V.).

Dr. Burkhardt is a contact person for domestic and foreign enterprises, especially in the field of the car supplier industry. She advises them comprehensively on contract design, insurance law questions and issues related to restructuring and the liability of D&Os. Dr. Burkhardt conducts negotiations with customers and suppliers and executes disputes both inside and outside the courtroom.

Due to her corporate law expertise, Dr. Burkhardt advised on many acquisitions and restructurings. Dr. Burkhardt assumes the preparation of a transaction, the contractual execution as well as the coordination with other departments of the firm. In cross-border transactions, Dr. Burkhardt works closely with long-standing partner law firms from abroad.

Dr. Burkhardt is a member of the Russian Desk of the firm which renders advice to Russian-speaking clients as well as to German-speaking clients regarding Russia-related questions.

Zlata Sheve, LL.M.

Attorney at Law (Russia)

born in 1979; Zlata Sheve studied law in Russia and received a Master’s Degree from the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg (Germany), doctorate in philosophy in Russia. Ms. Sheve has been working in our Singapore office since 2007 and has spent two years in our Stuttgart office from 2009-2010. Ms Sheve is a member of the Russian bar association since 2011 and currently works in Singapore as a Registered Foreign Lawyer.

Ms. Sheve advises mainly Russian corporations on their investments in: Singapore, other ASEAN Member States, and Germany, and as well in cross border layout of the corporate, employment and distribution structures.

As a member of the Russian Desk Ms. Sheve supports international clients with their projects in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other CIS-countries.

Ms. Sheve is a member of the German-Russian Jurists Association and a founding and management committee member of “Russian Club” in Singapore.

Robert Vieweger, MBL

Lawyer

Born 1976, Study of Law at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cologne, At­tor­ney-at-law since 2006.

Be­fore join­ing TSP, Robert Vieweger worked as a lawyer in Dus­sel­dorf and Tokyo and ad­vised Ger­man and for­eign clients main­ly in the fields of cor­po­rate and com­mer­cial law, on M&A trans­ac­tions, re­struc­tur­ing pro­jects, and in­ter­na­tion­al con­tract law. Robert Vieweger has al­so spe­cial ex­per­tise in re­al es­tate and in­sol­ven­cy law.

Dur­ing his three years of prac­tice in Japan, Robert Vieweger was ad­mit­ted to the Tokyo Bar As­so­ci­a­tion as a Reg­is­tered For­eign Lawyer (Gaikokuho-Jimu-Ben­goshi) and ren­dered from Tokyo le­gal ser­vices for Ger­man com­pa­nies in Japan, ad­vis­ing on var­i­ous pro­jects for sub­sidiaries, branch­es, joint ven­tures, and lo­cal dis­tri­bu­tion struc­tures. This in­clud­ed al­so re­struc­tur­ing pro­jects and in­ter­na­tion­al group in­sol­ven­cy pro­ceed­ings in­volv­ing Japan.

Since February 2012, Robert Vieweger heads our Singapore office and advises German and foreign clients in these fields of law, and supports or conducts arbitration and international court proceedings. The emphasis of his practice is on corporate, labor, and distribution law concerning mainly Germany-based investments in Singapore. In addition, Robert Vieweger renders legal support for projects funded by German investors in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and other ASEAN Member States, and advises corporations from these jurisdictions on their investments in Germany.

Apart from his German bar admission, Robert Vieweger is registered with the Attorney-General of Singapore as a Foreign Lawyer. He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
