Prof. Dr. Hervé Edelmann

Hervé Edelmann studied at the University of Marburg and worked there as a research assistant (Prof. Dr Bodo Pieroth and Prof. Dr Werner Frotscher). He has been an honorary professor for bank contract capital investment law at the University of Leipzig since 2013. He has been holding specialist lectures for numerous years and regularly publishes his work in various banking magazines. He has been practising law with Thümmel Schütze since 1994. Since 2007, he has been acting as chair of the examination committee for specialists for banking and capital markets and has been a member of the Board of the Stuttgart Bar Association since 2012.

His areas of expertise lie in banking and capital market law.

His clients include large, mid-sized and small credit institutes, such as savings and people´s banks, private and public building societies, financial services companies and mid-sized enterprises. Hervé Edelmann advises his clients on strategic matters in particular and supervises disputes before court. Additionally, he acts in matters of defence against liability claims for the region of Baden-Württemberg.
